It’s funny as well as amazing how people look upon United States Presidents; past and present, as if they are heavenly or godly creatures. Truth be told they are just ordinary people just like you and I; or are they? The President of the United States of America, one would think, is above reproach, a man of honor with the highest degree of integrity- sinless! Let’s explore those myths.
In this writing we will just touch only the tip of the dark sides of U. S. Presidents. It is only fitting that our investigation begins with the First U.S. President, George Washington.
By today’s standard, George Washington was a drug dealer. It is well known and documented that in addition to tobacco; George Washington, as a farmer, grew marijuana on his farm and promoted it's growth and use. Don’t get me wrong, I personally, though I do not partake in the use of marijuana, don’t believe marijuana is nor was ever meant to be a plant controlled and banned by a small group of society nor by people, while appearing to have yours and my best interest at heart, have only self servicing interest. Marijuana is an herb and didn’t the Bible tell us the God said that he “have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. Genesis 1:29 (KJV). TheControlled Substances Act make marijuana illegal for most American people to possess or use (note the word, “controlled” in controlled substances act). Let’s not get too far off the subject of the dark sides of U.S. Presidents.
The second President of the U.S., though not publicly hidden, had his little dark side as well. John Adams was incestuous and married and fathered children with his own cousin, Abigail Smith.
Thomas Jefferson was a rapist and had sex with his slaves. Richard Nixon was a Mobster and known to have involvement with organized crime. John F. Kennedy (J.F.K) was a Drug Addict. Though J.F.K was on many prescript medications, including amphetamines, which was hidden from the public, none the less, he was an addict. Just because drugs are given to you by a doctor it does not make you any less a junkie than if you purchased it from the dealer off the street. The only different is you have a legal dealer providing the drugs.
Lyndon B. Johnson (L.B.J) was allegedly a murder! Yes, the 36th President of the United States may have the darkest dark side of all the Presidents, though this is likely not the case, yet it seem, from what is known, that this president was dark as well as evil. In his book, “Blood, Money & Power: how L.B.J. Killed J.F.K.” Barr McClellan, who worked for the law firm that handled L.B.J. legal team, outline documents, and secret meeting lending support to the fact that L.B.J. was responsible for the assassination of the 35th President of the United States, John F. Kennedy. According to McClellan, L.B.J. had the Motive, the Opportunity and the Means!
