These seven Wonders are the Colosseum Rome, the Great Wall of China, Taj Mahal in India, The Great Pyramid of Giza, Christ of Redeemer in Brazil, Chichen Itza in Mexico and Petra in Jordan. These are the greatest Wonders of the world. Now we through some light on its evidence and history.

Colosseum

Colosseum is situated in rome. It is located in the centre of Rome. It is considered one of the greatest works of Roman architecture and Roman engineering. Its construction started in 70AD and was completed in 80AD.At a time 50,000 spectators are sitting in it.The Colosseum was used for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles such as mock sea battles, animal hunts, executions, re-enactments of famous battles, and dramas. The building ceased to be used for entertainment in the early medieval era. It was later reused for such purposes as housing, workshops, and quarters for a religious order, a fortress, a quarry, and a Christian shrine. In 20thcentury it was damage due to earthquake and stone robbers. Today Colosseum is now a major tourist attraction. Every tourist who goes to Rome his first preference is COLOSSEUM.

The Great Wall of China

The Great Wall of China is made up of stones, bricks and tamped earth, wood and other materials. It is generally made east to west across the northern border of China. It was made between 5th and 8th century in order to protect China from the Mongols and other invaders. The urban legend says that The Great Wall is visible from the orbit, but it is not true.

Taj Mahal

Taj mahal is made up of white shinning beautiful tiles and it is situated in Agra is the heart of India.it is also known as crown of palaces.it was built by Mughal Shah Jahan in memories of his third,lovlest and beautiful wife. Taj mahal is finest example of Mughal architecture. Its style was combination of Mughal, Muslim, and Turkish and Persian architecture. The WHITE DOME of Taj Mahal is the best and important part of the building. It was constructed in 1632 and was completed in 1653.the Taj Mahal was made up of beautiful decoration of jewel, diamond, gold, silver and other type of decorative things. After the making of Taj Mahal Shah Jahan was ordered to his servants that cut the hands of builders because they would not built such a beautiful building. Taj Mahal was a symbol of love of Shah Jahan for his wife.

Pyramid of Giza

The great Pyramid of Giza is situated in Giza Necropolis. It actaully consists of three pyramids. On the grounds of Greatest Egypt in 2560BC arose one of the most sepctatular constructions ever made by humans (many people think it was built by an alien civilization). The construction bases on physics laws of equilibrium. Its stones have smooth outer surface. It was built using 2-3 million limestone’s blocks. It consists of three chambers: the lower chamber, the queen chamber and a king chamber. Today the tourists enter the pyramid through robbers’ tunnel. There are three boat shaped pits around the pyramids. What is interesting the Pyramids of Giza are the last of the "7 Wonders of the Anctient World" that are left.
