I don’t need to explain WHY you need this list. If you want your date to be a success, you are eager to read the rest of my article. You are already asking a girl you like if she wouldn’t like to see a movie with you. So let’s just get straight to it:

1. Love Actually

One of the best British romantic comedies of all time! What makes it so great is the fact that it gives the audience laughter, romance and moments of drama – all in perfect proportions. That is why you might be surprised, when you find yourself connecting with the characters and genuinely liking the movie. And that will certainly help you earn a few “relationship points” from your girlfriend.

Oh! If you hate romance, you can concentrate on the comic side of Love Actually and still enjoy it.

2. The Notebook

This movie quickly became legendary for all the ladies. Unfortunately, this automatically meant it would become a nightmare for the men. Face it fellows – sooner or later you are going to have to watch it. You are up against the super-cute Ryan Gosling getting very emotional (just look at the picture. Seeing this will make some women cry!). Sure, he played a Jewish Nazi in The Believer but that was a long, long, long time ago. Get the movie, prepare tissues, work on your arm strength – you are going to need it to hug your girlfriend crying her eyes out through most of the movie.
